St Paul Lutheran Staff

  • Daniel D. Baker

    SENIOR PASTOR

    Dan and his wife, Karina have children in college, Caleb and Marissa. Dan graduated from Blue Earth, MN, the University of Minnesota, and Luther Seminary. He served as pastor at Bethlehem and Deer Creek Valley churches in rural Glenville, MN; First Lutheran in Albert Lea, MN; and most recently as Executive Director at Mount Carmel Ministries, Alexandria, MN. 

  • Tami Roetman

    Office Manager

    Tami joined the staff in July 1993. She and her husband Fred, live in Sheldon and have 2 children, Blake and Kendra. Her job consists of keeping the financial records and membership records, general secretarial duties for the Church Council and committees, and the day-to-day operation of the church office.

  • Kristi Hegenbarth

    Secretary

    Kristi joined our staff in 2015. She is in charge of scheduling volunteers for roles in worship, and preparing the Sunday bulletin and monthly newsletter. She and husband Rob have 3 children: Tommy, Jayden, and Jaxon.

  • Jake jacobsma

    custodian

    Jake joined our staff in May of 2020. He and his wife, Janice, live in Hospers. He is a navy veteran, serving from 1980 to 1997. One of his favorite hobbies is trapshooting. Jake's responsibility is to insure the quality upkeep and cleanliness of the facilities at St. Paul Lutheran Church.

  • Bri Oetken

    Youth Director

    Bri grew up in Wisconsin Dells, WI, received a degree in Social Work and minor in Christian studies from North Central University in Minneapolis, MN. She served as a program director at Ingham Okoboji Lutheran Bible Camp where she served as a program director and was part of the Youth Ministry team. She received her Masters Degree in Social Work from the University of Northern Iowa and recently started working as a family therapist in Orange City. She is excited to connect with youth and pointing them to Jesus so they can grow in understanding of God's love and grace.. 

  • Susan Lichty

    Worship Coordinator

    Susan is married to Scott, with two grown sons. She's a grandma, now, too! Susan loves music and regularly helps lead worship with her beautiful soprano voice. As coordinator, she organizes our worship services, including lining up pianists, singers, hymns, special music, and puts together PowerPoint presentations for worship.
